i'm considering hrt repping, i'm 14 and yet to go on t
I want to make sure I understand you correctly. When you say "hrt repping," do you mean you're considering going on testosterone (T), or are you considering *not* going on T and staying as you are? The term can mean different things in different online spaces.
Either way, being 14 and thinking about these questions is significant, and I want to understand where you're coming from. A few questions:
- What led you to start questioning your gender or considering testosterone in the first place?
- Are there particular feelings about your body, how you're treated, or what you expect from the future that make T feel like the right or wrong path?
- Do you have people around you encouraging you toward medical transition, or are you mostly figuring this out on your own?
At 14, your brain and sense of self are still developing rapidly. That's not dismissive—it's just a fact that makes these decisions especially consequential. Many detransitioners who started hormones young describe feeling certain at the time, only to realize later that they were actually dealing with other issues (discomfort with puberty, trauma, being gay in an unwelcoming environment, autism, social pressure, etc.).
If you're open to it, I can look up experiences from female detransitioners who considered or went on T around your age and later changed course. Their perspectives might help you think through what you're feeling. Would that be useful?
